AUTOCLAVING PROCEDURES The
following Do's and Don'ts were developed to help ensure the best product
performance when using high temperatures to clean the above items. DO: 1. These products can be gas autoclaved, ultrasonically cleaned, steam autoclaved (max. 250° F), washer decontaminator, washer sterilizer (max. 250° F), soak, etc. Not recommended for repeated autoclaving. 2.
They can work with most soaking solutions. See attached list for
approved solutions or cal us at 1-800-521-6224. 3. Test
run one item before implementing entire system. DON'T: 1. Do not exceed 250° F when autoclaving or washer sterilizing. Not recommended for repeated autoclaving. 2.
Do not nest products during autoclaving. 3. We
recommend the products be autoclaved upright in a vertical position.
(This does not include the drain trays with instruments.) These products are manufactured of a lightweight durable autoclavable
plastic. This material by nature is a non-rigid form and some distortion
due to high heat (typically in excess of 250° F) may occur. Plastic
also has a memory and many times a warping (distortion) problem can be
rectified by trying the following suggestion: Rerun the trays lying flat and put even weight on all parts. After it
returns to usable shape, follow the above procedures in handling. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-521-6224. |
