The lack of fibrin on most of the ProFormanceTM indicates that, in most cases, the chemical activity is good. Fibrin is being dissolved but some of the water-soluble proteins are remaining. This usually is due to an obstruction to spray action or the like. Look for deposits clogging the spray arm orifices. Check for inefficient spray arm action due to poor rotation possibly due to damaged or worn bearings (bushings). Check for overloading.

On rare occasions it is possible that the proteins on ProFormanceTM could have been denatured and rendered insoluble. This happens if the ProFormanceTM is heated too high in the initial rinse phase. Another possibility is denaturing from alcohols during pre-soaking. Some enzyme detergents have a high concentration of alcohol. When exposed to 100% strength enzyme cleaner that contains alcohol, the albumin in ProFormanceTM (and in blood for that matter) may become denatured and rendered insoluble. Follow manufacturer's directions regarding dilution of enzyme cleaners for pre-soaking.

Make sure the initial rinse phase is with cold or cool tap water.

Check the spray pressure. Low spray pressure will not provide enough mechanical scrubbing to clean efficiency. Adjust spray pressure higher if possible. Check for problems with the spray pump.
