Flash Sterilization Tray

Sterilization Procedure

1. Place item to be sterilized into the Flashguard container.

2. Open valve door perpendicular to end of container.

3. Slid lid open (backwards toward you) until it is open

approximately 3 inches and even with the opened valve door.

4. Place integrator in opened valve and in basket below the opening

created by sliding the lid backwards.

5. After flash sterilization cycle (3 or 10 minutes), slide lid to cover

container and close valve door utilizing the universal handles or

hot mittens.

6. Slide Flashguard containing sterilized items onto cart with

universal handles or hot mittens, or remove directly from the

sterilizer with universal handles or hot mittens.

How is the Sterile Field Maintained with the Flashguard Unit?

The Flashguard maintains the sterile field because the inside

temperature of the container is hotter than the outside air.

Therefore, any ambient airflow would be from inside the

container to the outside.

Options include multi-level baskets and latched cover.
